Senior Leadership Couple | Boutique Lodge – Southern Africa Region
Employer is seeking a professional, experienced management couple to take on the leadership of a newly refurbished 5-star boutique lodge located in a premier region of Southern Africa.
This is a live-in, full-time position ideal for a couple with complementary strengths across guest services, back-of-house operations, guiding, reservations, and wellness/spa.
Roles & Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Front-of-House Leadership
Oversee daily operations of all guest-facing departments.
Manage reservations, bookings, guest check-in/out, and concierge services.
Lead the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional 5-star service.
Manage online platforms, OTA listings, rate strategy, and guest reviews.
Coordinate spa and wellness offerings (experience in this area is beneficial).
Ensure full operational readiness for the post-refurbishment reopening.
Operations, Guiding & Maintenance
Lead guided guest activities (valid guiding qualifications required for at least one partner: FGASA Level 1+, valid PDP, First Aid).
Oversee grounds, infrastructure, vehicles, and basic maintenance.
Handle stock control, supplier management, and logistics.
Support staff scheduling, security protocols, and SOP development.
Assist with back-of-house finance management, budgeting, and payroll support.
Combined Requirements (as a Couple)
Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing or co-managing a 5-star lodge or boutique hospitality property.
Strong administrative and financial acumen.
Experience with reservations and booking systems.
At least one partner must hold valid guiding qualifications and be able to lead guest activities.
Spa or wellness experience is highly beneficial (certification not mandatory but preferred).
Proven experience managing staff teams, including recruitment and training.
Computer literate – proficient in Office, cloud systems, and POS/PMS platforms.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High attention to detail and a deep commitment to guest experience.
