Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, a global luxury brand part of Accor, has today announced reservations from November 2nd are now live, ahead of its much-anticipated opening. As Fairmont's newest property, Fairmont New Orleans will be the brand's 19th property in the USA. Located in New Orleans' Central Business District, just steps from the French Quarter and Caesars Superdome, the hotel's opening marks the much-anticipated grand return of the iconic luxury brand to the Crescent City following two decades.

Developed by Kailas Companies, the hotel occupies 17 stories of the former Bank of New Orleans building, a 31-story landmark originally designed in 1970 by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The reimagined property features 250 guest rooms and suites; multiple restaurant and bar venues in partnership with Chef Emeril Lagasse and his team; a rooftop pool and lounge - the highest in the city with unparalleled views of the Mississippi; an intimate rooftop bar Third Measure, alongside Bleu Perdu, a rooftop poolside lounge; a 10,000-square-foot spa with breathtaking vistas over the city; over 19,000 square feet of meeting and event space; Fairmont Gold for an exclusive hotel-within-a-hotel experience; plus a soothing retreat at the spa with three treatment rooms and a couples suite with dry sauna, steam room, and fitness studio.

Fairmont New Orleans is positioned as both a refined retreat and a dynamic cultural gathering place, destined to 'Make Special Happen' and designed to reflect the rhythm, contrasts, and creative pulse of the city itself.

Claudia Kozma Kaplan, Chief Brand Officer, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts said, “New Orleans, a destination that is world-renowned for its vibrant energy, has an unparalleled passion for jubilant gatherings. At Fairmont's newest hotel, we honor that ingrained instinct to Make Special Happen in every space and place throughout. Much like Fairmont itself, which has served as the stage for some of the world's most legendary moments, New Orleans represents the very heart of hospitality and festivity. Whether in the grandness of the hotel's ballroom, its historic halls, or the intimacy of our dining, bar, and lounge venues, these locations are more than just spaces. They are where guests will raise a glass, launch visions, and mark milestones in a setting that reflects the city's elegant, spirited, and inclusive soul. Every room in this wonderful hotel feels like a love letter to the city, making it the perfect location for hosting events and festive rituals.”

Interior design by Rockwell Group is guided by a singular ethos: a celebration of the tension between built and natural environments - a defining characteristic of New Orleans. Structured architectural lines are softened by layered textures, saturated color, and organic references that nod to the city's lush landscape and cultural depth. Throughout the hotel, contrasts define the experience – old and new, polished and playful, vibrant and restful – creating spaces that feel both intentional and instinctive, refined yet soulful. The result is boutique intimacy with high comfort, offering a more private, spacious guest experience with a small key count and generously sized rooms.

Fairmont New Orleans represents the next expression of Fairmont's evolving design vision, its lobby serves as the hotel's social anchor, conceived as a vibrant, ever-evolving gathering space rather than a pass-through arrival hall. Anchored by a spectacular central Lobby Bar, the space will be a vibrant focal point of the hotel, pouring handcrafted cocktails while providing a natural gathering place for all that visit, while echoing the city's daily rhythm. Rich materiality, bold color, and curated furnishings create an atmosphere that feels layered and lived-in, encouraging guests and locals alike to linger. Fairmont properties are the social epicenters of their locations, and their lively lobbies are synonymous with celebration for both locals and guests alike.

Designed as a true node of energy within the hotel, the lobby blurs the lines between reception, lounge, and cultural living room.

“At Kailas Companies, our passion lies in the careful preservation of historic landmark buildings while seamlessly introducing modern, world-class luxury. With the upcoming opening of Fairmont New Orleans, we are thrilled to bring a legendary property back to life and a legendary brand back to New Orleans. Above all, we are most excited about sharing this spectacular hotel with our community. We have envisioned and designed it to be a vibrant, premier gathering place where people can come together to connect, collaborate, and celebrate, whether for business, social occasions, or major group events,” C. Mohan Kailas, Chief Executive Officer, Kailas Companies.

Fairmont New Orleans is elegantly outfitted to host weddings, meetings, and gatherings from 10 to 500 guests.  The hotel features two 4,000-square-foot ballrooms with dedicated foyer space on the second floor, along with six meeting rooms, and an executive boardroom. The grand ballroom, housed within the former bank interiors, evokes historic gravitas and cinematic scale, honoring the building's heritage ceiling of local cypress wood, with 70s-era Italian-inspired chandeliers adding warmth and intimacy - offering a dramatic backdrop for society balls, galas, weddings, and milestone celebrations. Flooded with natural light and tactile materials, the meeting rooms and boardrooms feature Spanish moss-inspired wallcoverings, warm walnut wood, and rich velvet upholstery. From the street, the double-height ballroom volume glows like a lantern, acting as a beacon for guests approaching the hotel.
