In preparation for its 2027 debut, additional pre-opening appointments include Commercial Director Tony Rodriguez, creating a leadership team united by a shared vision, decades of experience, and a commitment to Jacksonville's future.

Set along Jacksonville's dynamic riverfront, Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Jacksonville represents a new chapter for one of Florida's most exciting and fast-growing cities. Guiding the property's debut is General Manager Melissa Sims, who brings two decades of Four Seasons experience to Jacksonville.

“The energy of an opening is unmatched, but what excites me most is the opportunity to become part of this community,” says Sims. “Jacksonville has a genuine warmth and sense of possibility that you feel immediately. We are grateful for the opportunity to build something meaningful alongside the people who call this city home and create a destination that reflects both the spirit of Jacksonville and the care and service of Four Seasons.”

As opening preparations continue, Sims is focused on building an inspired team, fostering meaningful local relationships, and creating a destination that celebrates everything that makes Jacksonville unique while becoming a meaningful part of its future.

“We are incredibly proud to bring Four Seasons to Jacksonville, a city defined by its energy, ambition, and unmistakable momentum,” says Antoine Chahwan, Area President, Hotel Operations, Americas, Four Seasons. “Melissa is an exceptional leader whose breadth of experience, deep understanding of our culture, and genuine care for people will set the tone for this extraordinary new property. In partnership with Shanna Collective and the Khan family, she is building something truly exceptional: a destination that will be true to our brand, deeply connected to the community, and reflective of the city’s bright future.”

A key part of this pre-opening team is Tony Rodriguez, who has been appointed Commercial Director of the hotel and residences. A Four Seasons veteran of more than three decades, Rodriguez brings a broad commercial and operational perspective shaped by leadership roles across Florida and beyond, including landmark openings, repositioning projects, and multi-property strategy. As Commercial Director, he will lead the commercial vision and market positioning of the property as it prepares to welcome guests and the Jacksonville community.

“From the moment I first visited the site, I understood that this was about far more than opening a beautiful hotel,” says Rodriguez. “We are not coming to Jacksonville to redefine what already makes the city special. Our role is to build on those strengths by bringing the care, craftsmanship, and service Four Seasons is known for while creating experiences that feel authentically Jacksonville.”

Located along the St. Johns River and developed by Shanna Collective, Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Jacksonville will introduce a first-of-its-kind Four Seasons experience within a Sports & Entertainment District, connecting residents and guests to the energy of the city and the beauty of its waterfront. With direct marina access and proximity to some of Jacksonville's most notable cultural, entertainment, and sporting destinations, the property will reflect the character of the community while offering a distinct Four Seasons experience that celebrates the spirit of Jacksonville.

United by a passion for hospitality, decades of experience, and a deep appreciation for the city they now call home, Sims and Rodriguez share a vision for introducing Four Seasons to Jacksonville in a way that celebrates its character, embraces its community, and contributes to its bright future...
