Four Seasons Hotel Toronto Retains Forbes Ten-Star Rating in 2025

INSPIRATION: Four Seasons Hotel Toronto year after year retains the acclaimed Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Hotel and Five-Star Spa ratings, prserving the flagship property’s Ten-Star distinction for the fifth year in a row. This year, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is one of four Five-Star rated properties in Toronto and one of six in Canada, and the Spa at Four Seasons Toronto is the only spa in the city and one of three in the country to attain the Five-Star status.

In his role as General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, Patrick Pollak oversees the operation of the company's 259 room flagship property.  A Four Seasons veteran of more than 25 years, Pollak brings to his role well-tracked luxury hospitality experience across North America and Guangzhou, China.

Born and raised in Mexico of French parents, Pollak had a true bi-cultural upbringing that led to his return to France, where he studied Hotel and Restaurant Management at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon.  This specialty education led to a robust career with Four Seasons beginning in 1996 as Bar Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City.  A foodie at heart, his career progressed through various positions in the Food and Beverage department until working his way to Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. In 2002, he transferred laterally to Four Seasons in Chicago and in 2004, he was promoted to Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita. Patrick was then very deservedly promoted to Hotel Manager in 2007, which brought him back to Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City. He was later appointed to Resort Manager positions, first at Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas in 2011 and next at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in 2016. Patrick was promoted to General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou in 2017 and transferred to Toronto in 2021.

“Being at the helm of this outstanding property is a Four Seasons career milestone,” says Pollak. “I am honoured to continue building on the success of this iconic property."

Pollak is passionate about motor sports and did some rally racing in his youth. He is also a huge supporter of Manchester United Football Club. Still, his perfect weekend would simply be enjoying time with family and friends, cooking a meal at home, and enjoying a nice bottle of wine.

Four Seasons Hotel Toronto received its original Five-Star hotel designation in 2014, becoming the first-ever hotel in Canada with both the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond ratings. The Spa at Four Seasons Toronto received its initial Forbes Five-Star recognition in 2021, the only spa in Toronto to hold this title at the time.
