Hervé Fucho Appointed General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Dominican Republic at Tropicalia Ahead of 2027 Opening
The Resort will mark the debut of Four Seasons in the Dominican Republic

Four Seasons announces the appointment of Hervé Fucho as General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Dominican Republic at Tropicalia, set to open in 2027. Developed by Cisneros Real Estate (Cisneros), this sustainable luxury resort is located along the northeastern coast of the Dominican Republic, along the shores of Playa Esmeralda, and features a tropical modernist design that inspires guests to engage with the natural environment.
“What drew me to this property was the opportunity to create a luxury experience rooted in sustainability,” says Fucho. “Protecting natural resources, supporting local communities, and celebrating the unique beauty of each destination with guests are values that have guided my career, and I'm proud to bring them to life at this extraordinary resort.”
Fucho was born in Angouleme, France, surrounded by gastronomic and creative inspiration from his family. He went on to hospitality school, then honed his skills at restaurants in England, Ireland, and Germany, before embarking on his Four Seasons journey.
He brings nearly three decades of experience from Four Seasons addresses across three continents. His career includes Executive Chef roles in Punta Mita and Hong Kong, where he oversaw Michelin-starred dining. Fucho later transitioned into resort operations at a former Four Seasons property in St. Petersburg, Russia, and most recently as Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, Mexico, where he helped establish a sustainable farm that connected guests with local agricultural traditions.
"Hervé brings a rare combination of operational excellence and deep commitment to sustainability,” says Antoine Chahwan, President, Hotel Operations – Americas, Four Seasons. “Throughout his Four Seasons career, he has consistently elevated the guest experience while inspiring teams, which makes him the ideal leader for our first property in the Dominican Republic.”
The appointment reflects a shared vision grounded in nearly two decades of stewardship by Cisneros along the Dominican coast. Tropicalia itself is designed as a destination where local culinary traditions, conservation, and cultural heritage naturally intertwine, creating an authentic sense of place that aligns seamlessly with Fucho’s leadership.
“We are delighted to welcome Hervé to lead this flagship destination,” says Adriana Cisneros, CEO of Cisneros. “His deep-rooted values in sustainability and operational excellence align perfectly with our vision for Tropicalia and our long-standing commitment to responsible development in the Dominican Republic.”
Away from the Resort, Hervé enjoys spending time with his two daughters, tending to his succulents, and outdoor pursuits including kite surfing, windsurfing, and skydiving.
