IHG Hotels & Resorts is advancing its growth in the Taiwan market with five new hotel signings and the launch of the IHG One Rewards LINE MINI App, expanding both its brand portfolio and digital member services.
IHG Hotels & Resorts currently operates 17 hotels across eight brands in the Taiwan market, offering a diverse portfolio across luxury & lifestyle, premium and essentials segments. The latest signings will extend its presence across Taipei, Taitung and Pingtung, spanning urban, cultural, hot spring and leisure destinations. The new projects will also introduce HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts to this market for the first time.
Daniel Aylmer, Chief Executive Officer, Greater China, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “The Taiwan market offers rich tourism resources and distinctive cultural heritage, creating diverse travel opportunities. The introduction of new projects, including the debut of HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts in the Taiwan market, reflects our commitment to meeting evolving traveller needs through a broader range of brands and experiences. At the same time, the launch of the IHG One Rewards LINE MINI App allows us to engage guests through a platform used in everyday life, making travel planning and membership services more convenient and accessible.”
Expanding Brand Portfolio
IHG Hotels & Resorts continues to introduce differentiated hospitality experiences across the Taiwan market, responding to evolving traveller needs through a broad range of destinations and stay occasions.
HUALUXE Hotels and Resorts will make its debut in the Taiwan market with HUALUXE Taipei, bringing the brand’s culturally inspired hospitality to the market through experiences shaped by local heritage, thoughtful service, tea, dining and social gatherings.
In eastern Taiwan, Crowne Plaza Taitung Zhiben Hot Spring will introduce the Crowne Plaza brand to the renowned Zhiben Hot Spring destination, offering travellers an experience that combines relaxation, nature and local exploration.
In southern Taiwan, Holiday Inn Pingtung City Center will become the first international branded hotel in Pingtung, bringing internationally recognised hospitality standards to the region.
The dual-brand development of voco Taipei Shihlin and Holiday Inn Express Taipei Shihlin will further expand IHG’s presence in Taipei. As voco’s first hotel in northern Taiwan and its first newly built property, voco Taipei Shihlin will draw inspiration from Shihlin’s cultural heritage, commercial vibrancy and local lifestyle, while Holiday Inn Express Taipei Shihlin will offer flexible accommodation options for business, leisure and short-stay travellers.
Enhancing Digital Member Service
With more than 160 million members worldwide, IHG One Rewards continues to create more flexible and engaging ways for members to interact with the brand.
The launch of the IHG One Rewards LINE MINI App in the Taiwan market further expands the programme’s digital touchpoints through a platform familiar to local consumers, enabling members to conveniently manage their membership, including registration, points, membership status and benefits enquiries, hotel information and reservations through LINE.
To mark the debut of the IHG One Rewards LINE MINI App, IHG One Rewards is rolling out a series of engaging initiatives throughout August, designed to boost member interaction and reward exploration. In addition to one-stop functions, users can enjoy gamified experiences, earn LINE Points and win concert tickets from Live Nation Asia through targeted promotions, and participate in member-only activities.

Small Tip To Landing Good Senior-Level Hotel Management Positions in 2026 & 2027
Many of our members have remained with us since the inception of our job lead service nine years ago. They continue to renew their memberships, staying on board even after securing new positions, and for good reason.
Daily, our editors dispatch bulletins detailing new job vacancies, projects, and industry shifts, including hotel launches, expansions, strategies, and market trends.
We recognize that numerous long-standing, senior-level members utilize these bulletins as conversation starters, reaching out to hotel chains and potential employers, sometimes with unsolicited applications and messages. LHN endorses such proactive engagement. It's an excellent, informal method to gain early interest from prominent hotel groups and upcoming projects, indicating your interest and broadening your opportunities for intriguing interviews or discussions about potential roles, particularly at the upper echelons of management.
Our editors also keep these proactive efforts in mind, shaping many bulletins to cover "new openings, new projects, and new market developments."
While membership spots for 2026 are limited, it's not too late to renew.- Read more here
