IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of The Residences at Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ras El Hekma in collaboration with Mountain View for Development and Real Estate Investment. The agreement marks the debut of the world's first branded residences under the Hotel Indigo brand. It builds on the signing of the 100-key Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ras El Hekma hotel, further strengthening IHG's Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio and growth in Egypt.
Set within Mountain View’s master-planned beachfront destination on Egypt’s North Coast, The Residences at Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ras El Hekma will comprise 280 branded residential units, including studios and one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. The residences will be located alongside Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ras El Hekma, creating an integrated lifestyle proposition with access to hospitality-led services and amenities.
Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, India, Middle East & Africa, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “The signing of The Residences at Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ras El Hekma is an important milestone for IHG and for Hotel Indigo globally. Launching the world’s first Hotel Indigo branded residences reflects how our brands continue to evolve beyond traditional hospitality to meet changing guest and owner expectations. Together with Mountain View, we are creating a residential experience that combines the individuality and neighborhood character Hotel Indigo is known for with the trusted service and quality of IHG in one of Egypt’s most exciting destinations.”
Egypt remains one of IHG’s priority growth markets in the region, and this signing reinforces the Group’s long-term commitment to expanding its Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in the country. Ras El Hekma is emerging as one of Egypt’s most attractive coastal destinations, supported by long-term investment in tourism, infrastructure, and mixed-use development. The signing reflects IHG’s strategic approach to branded residences, with a focus on distinctive, brand-led projects in locations where trusted hospitality, considered design, and long-term service standards enhance the strengths and appeal of the residential offering.
Eng. Amr Soliman, Founder and Executive Chairman of Mountain View, said: “This collaboration with IHG Hotels & Resorts represents a strategic milestone in Mountain View’s journey to develop integrated destinations that redefine coastal living in Egypt. We are not simply delivering residential units; we are creating lifestyle-driven communities that offer residents a complete experience, bringing together quality design, an extensive range of services, and a genuine connection to the surrounding destination. The launch of The Residences at Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ras El Hekma, the first Hotel Indigo-branded residential development worldwide, reflects our international partners’ confidence in Mountain View’s vision and our ability to deliver innovative real estate products that meet global standards. It also demonstrates our belief in Ras El Hekma’s significant potential to become a vibrant, integrated, year-round coastal destination that brings together residential living, hospitality, entertainment, and distinctive lifestyle experiences.”
The development forms part of Mountain View’s Ras El Hekma masterplan, a beachfront community designed to bring together hospitality, residential, retail, leisure, and shared amenities. The Residences at Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ras El Hekma will be positioned within this wider destination, offering residents a coastal lifestyle experience shaped by the surrounding neighborhood and supported by the adjacent hotel.
Hotel Indigo is inspired by the neighborhoods it calls home, celebrating the stories, culture, and character of local communities through distinctive design and experiences. The Residences at Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ras El Hekma will extend this philosophy into residential living, with homes and resident experiences designed to reflect the destination’s coastal setting and local character.
The signing reinforces IHG’s ambition to grow its branded residences business through a disciplined, brand-led approach that prioritizes long-term quality over volume. As the first Hotel Indigo branded residences globally, The Residences at Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ras El Hekma represents a new expression of the brand, bringing its neighborhood-inspired spirit into a residential setting for the first time.
