Garner hotels add six new signings and openings in IHG’s largest market in Europe

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, continues to grow Garner hotels in its UK&I market. IHG’s newest midscale conversion brand has seen rapid growth since its global launch in 2023, particularly in the company’s largest market in Europe – where appetite for hotels in the essentials segment continues to gain traction. Garner strives to become the leading choice for travellers of all ages seeking quality stays at an affordable price point – offering the all-important things guests value, including convenient locations, comfortable beds and free Wi-Fi. Guests will experience Garner’s signature ‘refreshing moment’ free drink and snack on arrival, as well as having access to fresh bean-to-cup coffee and the Garner Shop.

RECENTLY SIGNED
Garner Hotel London Paddington: Set to become the second Garner property in London, the 149-room hotel is set to open in late 2026. Owned by Westpoint Hotel (Hyde Park) Limited and Wholebond Properties Limited, Garner Hotel London Paddington will be located near Paddington Station and Hyde Park and feature an on-site restaurant and conference room.
This exciting signing joins five recently opened Garner properties across key UK cities.
RECENTLY OPENED
Garner Hotel Preston Samlesbury: Owned by KRO Hospitality, the property marked Garner’s brand debut in the UK&I when it opened earlier this year. Conveniently located close to the M6 and with easy access to Preston and Manchester, the hotel, features 80 stylish guestrooms set over three floors. Garner Hotel Preston Samlesbury provides guests with an on-site restaurant serving locally sourced British cuisine, a relaxing Lounge Bar for unwinding, and a well-equipped fitness suite perfect for guests seeking to maintain their wellness routines.
Garner Hotel Edinburgh – Haymarket: Opened in partnership with Palm Holdings, the 195-room hotel is located opposite Haymarket Station in Edinburgh’s West End. Guests can enjoy modern and comfortable rooms with air-conditioning, with the hotel being easily accessible with plenty of on-site parking. A partnership with local favourite Platform 5 offers sit-down breakfast and exclusive guest discounts, adding a local touch to this well-connected, comfort-focused stay.
Garner Hotel Nottingham City Centre: Owned by Harpine Investments Limited and located in the heart of Nottingham, the hotel features 100 rooms. Just a short drive from the main train station, the property blends great connectivity with skyline views, natural light, and a refreshed, modernised guest experience. The hotel is a convenient base for exploring the city, with major attractions including Nottingham Castle - as well as shops, restaurants and entertainment venues - within walking distance.
Garner Hotel Reading City Centre: With 53 guestrooms, this centrally located property sits next to the Oracle shopping centre, just metres from Reading Station. Offering modern conference facilities that can accommodate up to 80 people and an on-site restaurant, the hotel combines convenience with comfort and excellent access to London and the Thames Valley. The University of Reading is just five minutes away by car, while the Madejski Stadium can be reached in under ten, making the hotel an ideal base for a range of travellers.
Garner Hotel Birmingham South East: Owned by Acocks Green Management Ltd, the 51-room hotel is well positioned for both business and leisure guests. The property has on-site parking and high-speed Wi-Fi, as well as a welcoming bar and lounge area and on-site restaurant. With close proximity to Birmingham city centre, the NEC and the airport, the hotel is ideally located in the suburb of Acocks Green, placing guests in walking distance to a plethora of independent shops, cafés, and traditional pubs.
