IHG’s Hotel Indigo reaches 200 open hotels worldwide
The Luxury & Lifestyle brand has doubled its global footprint since 2019, with 134 more properties in the development pipeline
IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) has reached a major milestone for its Luxury & Lifestyle brand, Hotel Indigo, with the opening of its 200th hotel worldwide.
Hotel Indigo has experienced significant growth in recent years, doubling its global footprint from 100 open hotels in 2019 to 200 open hotels today. This expansion has brought the brand to must-visit destinations around the world, strengthening its presence in key cultural, urban, and resort destinations. Reflecting continued strong guest and owner demand, IHG has another 134 Hotel Indigo properties in its development pipeline.
Since launching in 2004, Hotel Indigo has established a distinctive position in the lifestyle space, bringing neighborhood spirit to life in every hotel. From design and dining to local storytelling and immersive experiences, no two Hotel Indigo properties are the same – each inspired by the culture, character, and history of its surroundings. Whether guests are searching for relaxation on a solo trip, fulfillment in business travel, or indulgence on a family vacation, the Hotel Indigo brand promises travelers vibrancy, connection, and opportunities for exploration.
Vicki Poulos, Vice President, Luxury & Lifestyle brands at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “Reaching 200 open hotels is a significant moment for Hotel Indigo and a testament to the strength of the brand. As The World’s Neighborhood Hotel, it celebrates how guests can discover, or rediscover, some of the most inspiring and culturally rich neighborhoods in and outside of our hotels across the world. From the very beginning, Hotel Indigo has been about celebrating the individuality of places, of people, and of stories – and for our guests, it isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a reason to travel, a destination all on its own.”
Hotel Indigo properties can be found across more than 30 countries, from vibrant city centers to emerging neighborhoods and resort locations. Over the last two years, the brand has debuted in the Caribbean with Hotel Indigo Grand Cayman, Portugal with Hotel Indigo Albufeira, and Peru with Hotel Indigo Lima Miraflores.

Small Tip To Landing Good Senior-Level Hotel Management Positions in 2026 & 2027
Many of our members have remained with us since the inception of our job lead service nine years ago. They continue to renew their memberships, staying on board even after securing new positions, and for good reason.
Daily, our editors dispatch bulletins detailing new job vacancies, projects, and industry shifts, including hotel launches, expansions, strategies, and market trends.
We recognize that numerous long-standing, senior-level members utilize these bulletins as conversation starters, reaching out to hotel chains and potential employers, sometimes with unsolicited applications and messages. LHN endorses such proactive engagement. It's an excellent, informal method to gain early interest from prominent hotel groups and upcoming projects, indicating your interest and broadening your opportunities for intriguing interviews or discussions about potential roles, particularly at the upper echelons of management.
Our editors also keep these proactive efforts in mind, shaping many bulletins to cover "new openings, new projects, and new market developments."
While membership spots for 2026 are limited, it's not too late to renew.- Read more here
