INSPIRATION: A truly Parisian, twenty-first century hotel Mandarin Oriental, Paris is Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group's only address in France, at the heart of this fashion capital on rue Saint-Honoré, just steps from Place Vendôme and with the Garnier Opera, Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre all close by. The unique hotel is housed inside an historic 1930’s Art Deco-inspired building that comes alive with unique character.
Mandarin Oriental, Paris has been granted an official “Palace Distinction” by Atout France, the French Agency for Tourism Development, only three years after its opening. Established by the French minister of tourism in November 2010, the “Palace” accolade is only provided to a small selection of the best five-star hotels that fulfil certain stringent criteria and embody French standards of excellence, therefore enhancing the image of France throughout the world.

Luca Finardi is General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Paris and Area Vice President, Operations for France, Italy, and Czech Republic.
Mr. Finardi is responsible for reinforcing Mandarin Oriental, Paris as one of the city's pre-eminent luxury hotels, a celebration of Paris today and tomorrow, inspired by fashion and artistic creativity and underpinned by the brand’s legendary service.
A true Italian at heart, General Manager, Luca Finardi brings with him almost 30 years of experience in hospitality, including a successful track record in hotel openings. In addition to his strong academic background in tourism, Luca has a wealth of enthusiasm and substantial management experience gained from working at prestigious, Italian hotels, such as Rocco Forte Hotel Savoy and Royal Demeure Hotel Group premises. In 2005, at the age of 32, he became the youngest General Manager in Europe, when he successfully took over administration of the Helvetia & Bristol Hotel in Florence. After 3 successful years at Belmond Villa San Michele as General Manager, in 2010, Luca was involved in the opening of Villa Sant’Andrea and Grand Hotel Timeo in Sicily. While he was General Manager and Area Manager Sicily for Belmond, the Grand Hotel Timeo was voted Best European Resort 2013 by Condé Nast Traveller.
In July 2014, he was appointed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, to guide the new Mandarin Oriental, Milan towards its opening and positioning among the city’s best hotels. With the opening of Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como, Luca took on the role of Area Vice President, Operations for Italy.
Born in Veneto, and raised in Tuscany and on the Italian Riviera, Luca comes from a family of hoteliers and has hospitality in his blood. He speaks fluent English and French and has a great passion for food and wine. He also likes golf, swimming and, of course, travelling all over the world.
Following his nomination, Luca Finardi says: ‘It is a great pleasure and honour to join Mandarin Oriental, Paris and its passionate team. Its location in the heart of the fashion district on the famous Rue Saint-Honoré resonates with my experience in Milan. I look forward to helping position the hotel as a benchmark for French luxury hospitality and making it the embodiment of the Paris of today and tomorrow.’
