In the inaugural Michelin Guide Guangzhou & Shenzhen 2026, marking Shenzhen's first inclusion in the internationally acclaimed guide, The Bay by Chef Fei has been awarded two Michelin stars, and OPUS 388 has been awarded one Michelin star, while MO Bar was ranked No. 5 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026.

Christian Dolenc is General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen and Area Vice President, Operations for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, overseeing the Group’s properties in Guangzhou, Sanya and Taipei.


Under his leadership, Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen earned the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating for both the hotel and its Spa—making it the first and only hotel in Shenzhen to receive this dual accolade. During the same period, MO Bar became the first hotel bar in Mainland China to be included in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025, and The Bay by Chef Fei achieved a coveted 1 Diamond rating in the 2026 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide.


Christian began his Mandarin Oriental career in 2010 at the Group’s flagship property, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. He later broadened his international experience in Jakarta before returning to Hong Kong as Hotel Manager of both The Excelsior and The Landmark Mandarin Oriental. In 2019, he was appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Macau, before assuming his current multi property leadership role in 2023.


A dual German and Swiss national, Christian is fluent in German and English and conversational in Cantonese.
