Meliá Hotels International Ranked the World’s Third Most Trusted Travel Company for the Third Consecutive Year by Newsweek and Statista

Meliá Hotels International has once again been recognised as the world’s third most trusted company in the travel and tourism sector in the World’s Most Trustworthy Companies 2026 ranking, published by Newsweek in partnership with data analytics firm Statista.
This achievement reinforces Meliá’s standing as one of the industry’s benchmark companies for trust and corporate reputation, an asset deeply rooted in the values, business culture, and legacy of a family-owned company with more than 70 years of history. Meliá’s continued presence among the sector’s top-performing companies reflects the confidence placed in the Group by its guests, employees, and investors, as well as the strength of a management model built on responsibility, transparency, and long-term value creation.
"Being recognised for the third consecutive year is a source of great pride for everyone at Meliá. Trust is earned through consistency and commitment over time, and this distinction acknowledges not only the dedication of our teams but also the principles that have guided Meliá since its founding. It also reflects the shared commitment of the entire Meliá family to a common purpose: creating value while generating a positive impact," said Gabriel Escarrer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Meliá Hotels International.
The World’s Most Trustworthy Companies ranking is one of the most comprehensive international assessments of corporate trust. To compile the 2026 edition, Newsweek and Statista evaluated perceptions among customers, employees, and investors through an independent survey of more than 65,000 respondents across 20 countries, generating nearly 200,000 company evaluations.
The methodology also includes an analysis of more than 320,000 media and public-channel mentions to assess the sentiment surrounding each company. The final score is based 80% on survey results and 20% on public perception analysis. Companies involved in significant trust-related controversies or litigation are also excluded from consideration.
Among thousands of publicly listed companies worldwide with revenues exceeding $500 million, only 1,000 organisations were included in the 2026 ranking. Meliá Hotels International’s position among the top three travel and tourism companies underscores the strength of its reputation and the trust it continues to earn from its key stakeholders around the world.

Small Tip To Landing Good Senior-Level Hotel Management Positions in 2026 & 2027
Many of our members have remained with us since the inception of our job lead service nine years ago. They continue to renew their memberships, staying on board even after securing new positions, and for good reason.
Daily, our editors dispatch bulletins detailing new job vacancies, projects, and industry shifts, including hotel launches, expansions, strategies, and market trends.
We recognize that numerous long-standing, senior-level members utilize these bulletins as conversation starters, reaching out to hotel chains and potential employers, sometimes with unsolicited applications and messages. LHN endorses such proactive engagement. It's an excellent, informal method to gain early interest from prominent hotel groups and upcoming projects, indicating your interest and broadening your opportunities for intriguing interviews or discussions about potential roles, particularly at the upper echelons of management.
Our editors also keep these proactive efforts in mind, shaping many bulletins to cover "new openings, new projects, and new market developments."
While membership spots for 2026 are limited, it's not too late to renew.- Read more here
