Preferred Hotels & Resorts Reveals Its New Independent Hotel Openings For 2026

Preferred Hotels & Resorts has unveiled its list of new member hotel openings and large-scale refurbishments for 2026 in some of the world’s most sought-after destinations from Spain to Morocco, Mexico City, Malta, London and the United States.

Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest independent hotel brand, is set to expand its global portfolio with eight new luxury openings across key destinations. From a meticulously restored 19th century mansion in the cultural heart of Morocco to a contemporary boutique retreat in one of Mexico City’s most vibrant neighborhoods, these bold new additions showcase a diverse range of experiences. Each property invites travelers to connect meaningfully with its surroundings through distinctive design, authentic character, and a strong sense of place.

“Our 2026 new hotel list reflects the powerful shifts captured in our Luxury Travel Report, where a significant majority of global luxury travelers are prioritizing authenticity, thoughtful curation, heritage, and meaningful ‘legacy moments’,” said Lindsey Ueberroth, Chief Executive Officer of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. “With expectations rising around personalization and purpose-driven travel, the remarkable openings in our portfolio, including four new Legend properties, deliver the individuality and depth today’s travelers value most. We are also seeing notable momentum across our I Prefer Hotel Rewards loyalty program, reinforcing that guests increasingly seek independent hotels that recognize them as individuals rather than room numbers. These additions represent thoughtful growth for our brand and elevated choice for travelers worldwide.”

Small Tip To Landing Good Senior-Level Hotel Management Positions in 2025 - 2026

Many of our members have remained with us since the inception of our job lead service seven years ago. They continue to renew their memberships, staying on board even after securing new positions, and for good reason.

Daily, our editors dispatch bulletins detailing new job vacancies, projects, and industry shifts, including hotel launches, expansions, strategies, and market trends.

We recognize that numerous long-standing, senior-level members utilize these bulletins as conversation starters, reaching out to hotel chains and potential employers, sometimes with unsolicited applications and messages. LHN endorses such proactive engagement. It's an excellent, informal method to gain early interest from prominent hotel groups and upcoming projects, indicating your interest and broadening your opportunities for intriguing interviews or discussions about potential roles, particularly at the upper echelons of management.

Our editors also keep these proactive efforts in mind, shaping many bulletins to cover "new openings, new projects, and new market developments."

While membership spots for 2025 I 2026 are limited, it's not too late to renew.- Read more her
