Building on its signature candle light and scent rituals, Sofitel introduces sound as the next layer of its sensorial storytelling, partnering with Devialet to orchestrate sonic landscapes across its properties worldwide
Pioneer of French luxury hospitality, Sofitel is deepening its signature sensorial experience through a new global partnership with trailblazing French enterprise Devialet, the acclaimed acoustic engineer. Rooted in a shared devotion to French craftsmanship, sensory innovation and emotional impact, the collaboration harnesses the power of ambiance to elevate everyday moments.
Already available in Sofitel hotels across France, Poland, and the United Arab Emirates, the partnership will see all new Sofitel properties worldwide equipped with Devialet's distinctive speakers in rooms and select public spaces, delivering audio experiences that are truly unmatched. More than just soundscapes, the cutting edge technology is a step in Sofitel's wider commitment to elevating its guest experience through accessories and equipment that go beyond functionality; creating lasting connections that deepen emotions.
Renowned for delivering rich, multidimensional sounds through elegantly compact designs, Devialet perfectly complements Sofitel's curated ambiance where French zest comes to life. Each hotel takes guests on a journey through carefully orchestrated sensory touchpoints including luminescent lighting brought to life through daily Candle Ritual ceremonies, and an inviting signature scent - L'Essence de Sofitel - that blends notes of white rose, jasmine, and patchouli. The introduction of Devialet sound brings a new dimension to this sensory palette, creating spaces that are immersive, emotional, and intimately attuned to their surroundings.
An entrance composed for the senses
In the hotels' public spaces, a bespoke playlist curated by Devialet has been designed to complement the character of the space, guiding guests through a carefully balanced progression of moods, from soothing ambiance to uplifting resonance. Whether setting a serene morning tone or enhancing the evening's energy, the playlists will offer a subtle but transportive layer to the guest experience - evoking a sense of place, emotion and elegance from the moment of arrival. In rooms, each Devialet speaker will offer a dedicated playlist to reflect the mood of the hotel as well as the option for guests to connect their own devices to shape their own personalised sound experience.
Nicolas Gronier, VP of Global Marketing for Sofitel, said: “At Sofitel, we magnify simple pleasures and it starts with the senses. We delight taste with warm fresh croissants, smell with the zesty L'Essence de Sofitel, sight with glowy candle rituals, touch with cloud-like Sofitel MY BED and now sound with Devialet. Devialet is the master of acoustic engineering with powerful and immersive sound, and an ideal partner for this sensorial excellence. With shared commitment for beauty and French Zest, we are proud to create moments that resonate with every guest.”
Jacques Demont, CEO of Devialet, said: “At Devialet, we deeply believe that sound is a powerful vehicle for emotion. This philosophy is at the heart of our collaboration with Sofitel. Our partnership offers every guest the opportunity to have a unique immersive experience, delivered through products that blend technological excellence with iconic design. Together, we are reinventing hospitality by infusing it with a powerful sensory dimension, so that each stay becomes a pure emotion that continues to resonate."
The Devialet soundscapes form part of a broader sensorial journey set to unfold across Sofitel properties soon, where light, scent and sound come together in The Candle Experience: a limited-edition in-room immersion with a festive twist.
Sofitel's immersive sound experiences will first debut in a selection of its most coveted addresses worldwide, with further rollouts across all new properties through 2025 and beyond...Read more here - Hotel Management Global Outlook Link
Small Tip To Landing Good Senior-Level Hotel Management Positions in 2025 - 2026
Many of our members have remained with us since the inception of our job lead service seven years ago. They continue to renew their memberships, staying on board even after securing new positions, and for good reason.
Daily, our editors dispatch bulletins detailing new job vacancies, projects, and industry shifts, including hotel launches, expansions, strategies, and market trends.
We recognize that numerous long-standing, senior-level members utilize these bulletins as conversation starters, reaching out to hotel chains and potential employers, sometimes with unsolicited applications and messages. LHN endorses such proactive engagement. It's an excellent, informal method to gain early interest from prominent hotel groups and upcoming projects, indicating your interest and broadening your opportunities for intriguing interviews or discussions about potential roles, particularly at the upper echelons of management.
Our editors also keep these proactive efforts in mind, shaping many bulletins to cover "new openings, new projects, and new market developments."
While membership spots for 2025 I 2026 are limited, it's not too late to renew.- Read more her
