Meet The Summer Collection: The Leading Hotels of the World’s Newest Members

The Leading Hotels of the World introduces six new member hotels to its curated portfolio of luxury independent hotels. This season’s collection includes three exciting new hotel openings in Puglia, Bodrum and Mexico City. Additionally, the collection will welcome a family-led winery hotel in Portugal’s Alentejo, an imaginative renovation of a former school in Kyoto and one of New Delhi’s finest heritage hotels.

Alexander (Mexico City, Mexico) NEW OPENING APRIL 2024


Refined, all-suite city stay combining high design and panoramic views



Located in the iconic Torre Virreyes skyscraper, colloquially known as ‘The Dorito’ for its striking, angular silhouette, Alexander combines high design, refined amenities and impeccable attention to detail. The property offers a new level of comfort and luxury in the city, including 26 spacious suites filled with Italian furnishings, a state-of-the-art gym, Caviar Bar and curated, concierge-booked experiences from private yoga to sound healing. At Chef Gabriela Ruiz Lugo’s Carmela y Sal restaurant, fine dining meets homestyle cooking for an elevated take on traditional Mexican cuisine. Quinta do Paral (Vidigueira, Portugal) RECENTLY-OPENED 2023


A renowned winery meets luxury hospitality in Alentejo

A passion project for the Morszeck family (founders of the Rimowa luggage brand) who wanted to sustain and support the wine traditions of the Alentejo, this organic winery hotel marries sleek contemporary accommodations and fine dining with tranquillity, set in nature. Surrounded by the plains and peaks of scenic Vidigueira, Quinta do Paral is a haven for wine lovers with 75 acres of peaceful gardens, vines and olive groves. 22 rooms and suites are spread between the renovated, historic main house and in the spacious, newly-built guest accommodations, decorated in elegant noveau-rural style. Guests can enjoy horse-riding through century-old vines, authentic cooking classes, private jet arrival and more in the Alentejo region—one of Portugal's best kept secrets.



Masseria Donna Menga (Nardò Lecce, Italy) NEW OPENING 2024


Stylish Pugliese farmhouse within reach of the Ionian sea

Close to the Baroque perfection of Lecce, and within reach of the wide, sandy beaches of Puglia’s Ionian coastline, this restored 16th century farmhouse has now been transformed into a rustic-chic hideaway. Skillfully elevated to luxury levels by local craftspeople, the 24-room property retains the beauty and features of its storied past, while being given a stylish makeover showcasing golden stone and natural materials. Guests can enjoy mindful dining at The Restaurant, featuring produce mainly sourced from the organic kitchen gardens, olive groves and orchards surrounding the Masseria, and chill vibes and creative cocktails are offered at the Lounge Bar. Scented Mediterranean countryside and shady gardens surround the pool, and there are plenty of indoor-outdoor spaces to relish.



Maxx Royal Bodrum Resort (Bodrum, Turkey) NEW OPENING MAY 2024


Glamorous resort on an idyllic Turkish peninsula

Located on a private peninsula in Turkey, and framed by fragrant pine forests and the sparkling waters of the Aegean Sea, Maxx Royal Bodrum is a Grand Boutique style hotel with 294 keys. Set to enhance Bodrum’s vibrant beach scene, the property will also be home to the first Turkish outpost of the glamorous Scorpios Beach Club, famed for its bohemian chic lifestyle concept. The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu (Kyoto City, Japan) OPENED 2020


Renovated former 1930’s school building, transformed with care

Luxury meets heritage at this modernist former 1930s school, now carefully transformed into a luxurious hotel that is filled with serene spaces and natural sunlight. Classrooms have become deluxe guest rooms, and the lounge and restaurant are housed in the original lecture hall with many characterful features retained from the classical modern design. Drinking and dining options also include Benoit Kyoto, a restaurant overseen by Ducasse Paris, and K36 bar and restaurant on the rooftop, serving rare whiskeys, wines and authentic food. Located in the heart of the historic Higashiyama district, the property is within walking distance of UNESCO World Heritage site, the Kiyomizu-dera Temple and old Kyoto.



The Imperial (New Delhi, India)


An art-filled grand-dame in the heart of India’s capital

A treasured private, eight-acre estate in the heart of India’s capital, this grand hotel built in 1936 as the first hotel in New Delhi, is a tranquil sanctuary amidst the city bustle.
