Tivoli Hotels & Resorts continues its expansion in Portugal with the recent opening of Tivoli Estela Golf & Lodges, a property with elegant and comfortable lodges located in Póvoa de Varzim – a beach town 45 minutes driving north from Porto. Surrounded by the unique beauty of Portugal's northwest coast, Tivoli Estela is just next to Estela Golf Club, with its scenic links course, and a secluded golden beach on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.
Ideal for nature and sports lovers or families at leisure, Tivoli Estela Golf & Lodges sits within an eight-hectare property, with 80 wooden lodges dotted around lush landscaping, just a few minutes' walk from the beach and golf course, surrounded by majestic pine trees and enveloped by the scent of the sea, inviting guests to disconnect and embrace the slow-living that represents Tivoli Hotels & Resorts’ brand essence.
Of the 80 lodges on the property, five are suites including a separate bedroom, living room, and kitchenette, and five are family lodges accommodating up to five people, including two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchenette. The remaining 70 lodges feature a bedroom with an integrated living room. All have an outdoor terrace equipped with a table and chairs. The décor, in shades of green, beige, and brown, with a focus on wood, seeks to bring nature indoors. Glass doors invite to a connection with the outdoors.
The gastronomy showcases the best flavours of Portuguese cuisine, with a restaurant and two bars, where each meal offers the opportunity to slow down, explore, and truly savour each moment. Green's Restaurant, with a classic and cosy atmosphere, serves lunch and dinner, offering from themed buffets to à la carte menus, highlighting the daily catch and fresh regional produce. The Dunas Bar offers an all-day dining menu with casual dishes, as well as a variety of appetisers and a selection of wines. The Pool Bar serves light meals along the day.
The Tivoli Estela Golf & Lodges’ wellness centre offers a diverse menu of holistic, Eastern-inspired therapies, including the four-hand Abhyanga massage, performed by two therapists in perfect harmony. In addition to the three treatment rooms, the wellness centre features an indoor heated hydrotherapy pool (adults only), a Turkish bath, a sauna, and a gym with top-of-the-range Technogym equipment. The leisure facilities also include an outdoor heated pool, with separate children’s pool, a children’s playground, two outdoor paddle tennis courts and bicycles available for guests to explore the surrounding area.
The property has a 125sqm fully equipped meeting room with natural light, overlooking the gardens, with capacity for up to 60 people, surrounded by the tranquillity of nature and a short distance from the beach and the golf course.
Tivoli Estela Golf & Lodges is dedicated to creating memorable experiences for its guests. With a journey that dates back to 1933 in Lisbon, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts is part of Minor Hotels and is well-known for its cultural heritage and genuine connection to each destination. The brand expanded from Portugal to Brazil, Qatar and China, and recently has been growing its footprint further into Europe with the first openings in Spain, Italy and The Netherlands. Tivoli Estela Golf & Lodges Porto will be its ninth property in Portugal and the second in the Porto region, where the brand operates the Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel, opened in February 2025.
