The Way of a Woman: Six Senses' First Retreat for Women

Six Senses has launched The Yin Way Retreat – The Way of a Woman, the brand's first retreat for women created to support whole-life wellbeing through the feminine way of living. Debuted at Six Senses Kanuhura in the Maldives from October 1 to 4, 2026, followed by Six Senses Kyoto in Japan from December 11 to 14, 2026, the retreat blends modern science with ancient wisdom to encourage realignment of the female nervous system and the restoration of emotional equilibrium. The retreat applies the "Yin" principles of rest, receptivity, reflection, and cyclical living, helping guide women through the many chapters of their wellbeing, from pre-pregnancy to post-menopause and the shifts in between.
The retreat responds to a wider wellness movement awakening the need for more gender-specific support, with the Global Wellness Institute identifying a shift away from an era in which women's wellbeing is borrowed from men's data and protocols. Each retreat is led by Hati S. Malinova, Six Senses Wellness Director and Integrative Health Expert, who brings more than two decades of clinical experience dedicated to female and reproductive health, postpartum care, and family wellbeing.
Hati S. Malinova said: "Women's wellness has often been treated as a narrow conversation, focused on fertility and menopause, but it is much broader than that. Women are asking deeper questions about their health, often arriving at Six Senses when calm, sleep, and balance feel just out of reach. The aim is to give women tools they can continue at home. The Yin Way is the feminine way. It is about moving with your body instead of pushing against it. We spend so much of our lives stretched and striving. Yin reminds us that there is strength in slowing down and truly listening."
The retreat features daily yin yoga and sound healing sessions, hormonal health workshops, personalized wellness screenings, lymphatic drainage and heat therapies, and stays in Beach Villas with private pools at Six Senses Kanuhura... Canada Hotels Report First Monthly Occupancy Decline of 2026
Canada's hotel industry has reported its first monthly occupancy decline of 2026, according to CoStar's latest data, marking a pause in the sector's recovery momentum after four consecutive months of performance growth. Occupancy fell 1.6% year-over-year to 68.3% in June, while ADR increased by 1.4% to CAD219.19, and RevPAR declined by 0.2% to CAD149.73. The occupancy decline was driven by reduced demand in key urban markets, including Toronto and Vancouver, where the recovery of international travel has slowed. Canada's hotel market had benefited from strong domestic leisure demand and the return of international visitors in the first half of 2026, but the June data suggests that the recovery may be facing headwinds. Market performance was mixed, with Edmonton reporting the highest increase in occupancy (up 9.2% to 71.1%), followed by Vancouver (up 3.3% to 74.7%), while Toronto reported the largest decline in RevPAR (down 5.8% to CAD189.03). For hoteliers across Canada, the data offers benchmarks against which to measure their own performance and insights into the trends shaping demand across segments and regions. The occupancy decline may signal a potential softening in the Canadian market after a strong recovery period, highlighting the importance of continued vigilance and strategic flexibility in managing hotel operations and revenue strategies......
