The iconic property will join the Affiliated by Meliá network in March 2026, strengthening the group’s presence in the province of Granada.
Meliá Hotels International has announced that Hotel Granada Palace will become part of its Affiliated by Meliá portfolio starting in March 2026, reinforcing the company's footprint in one of the most dynamic and promising destinations in southern Europe. With this agreement, the group adds a fifth property in the province of Granada, expanding its offering in an area that blends culture, nature, and a growing appeal for MICE tourism.
Located in Monachil, just minutes from Granada's historic center and at the natural gateway to Sierra Nevada, Granada Palace stands out as a sophisticated and contemporary five-star retreat for travelers seeking comfort and a genuine sense of place. Its Mozarabic-inspired architecture and bright interiors create an atmosphere that balances elegance, wellbeing, and authenticity. The hotel features 107 rooms, including suites and junior suites with spacious terraces, panoramic views, and thoughtful details designed to elevate the guest experience.
The hotel's strongest asset lies in its MICE facilities. With 3,700 m² dedicated to meetings and events, Granada Palace ranks among the most versatile and comprehensive complexes in the metropolitan area of Granada. Its 19 meeting rooms, arranged with flexible layouts and complemented by outdoor spaces, can host everything from executive gatherings to large-scale conferences or experiential events that combine gastronomy, wellness, and outdoor activities.
The hotel's culinary offering is spread across several distinctive venues, each designed to enjoy food in a different setting. Among them, Ítalo stands out—a restaurant celebrating the flavors of Italy. This concept is complemented by additional dining options within the complex, including a Rooftop Bar, creating a diverse and appealing gastronomic journey.
Guests can also enjoy an outdoor pool surrounded by lush greenery, a spa designed to reconnect body and mind, a fully equipped gym, and expansive landscaped areas that invite relaxation and transform each stay into a moment of genuine wellbeing.
Its location—at the natural access point to Sierra Nevada, 35 km from the ski resort, and close to the AVE high-speed train station (10 km) and Granada Airport (30 minutes)—makes it a strategic choice for both domestic and international travelers, offering a unique balance of nature, culture, and connectivity.
Gabriel Escarrer, CEO of Meliá Hotels International, stated that the addition of Granada Palace “reflects the trust that independent hotels place in our model. We are proud to support properties seeking to take a qualitative leap by relying on the strength of an international group like Meliá. Thanks to our distribution capabilities, the loyalty of our customer base, and the prestige of our brands, we can accompany them in a growth phase that enhances both their identity and their competitiveness in the market.”..
