Contributing to the momentum is this week’s opening of the first Homewood Suites by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton dual-brand property in Puerto Rico, reflecting the company’s multi-brand strategy focused on high-demand destinations including Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Turks and Caicos, as well as emerging markets such as Dominica and Trinidad and Tobago. A Milestone for Hilton in Puerto Rico
As part of Hilton’s growth across the Caribbean, the company celebrated the opening of Homewood Suites by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton San Juan, bringing 257 rooms and two distinct stay options to the heart of San Juan, near the Puerto Rico Convention Center and DISTRITO T-Mobile. The opening marks Homewood Suites by Hilton’s debut in Puerto Rico and expands Hampton by Hilton’s presence beyond Isla Verde, with Hampton by Hilton Ponce also in the pipeline. Its location in the San Juan Convention District, near the Puerto Rico Convention Center and DISTRITO T-Mobile, positions the hotels to serve business, convention, and leisure travelers, as well as guests seeking longer stays.
The openings are also part of Hilton’s broader expansion in Puerto Rico, where the company plans to double its existing portfolio to nearly 25 hotels, with projects advancing in San Juan, Ponce, Fajardo, Dorado, and Arecibo.
