HR Group expands Greater China market presence, appoints Oliver Sedlinger as market representative
Oliver Sedlinger (52) and his agency have been representing HR Group, Europe’s leading multi-brand hotel operator, in the source markets of Greater China since January 1st, 2025. This represents a significant expansion of HR Group´s sales presence in the Greater China region, focusing on B2B sales and business development within the outbound travel market.
As the biggest multi-brand hotel operating company in Europe, and one of the fastest growing global hospitality groups, HR Group will strengthen its international sales structure, particularly in the three travel source markets of Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan across all business segments.
The priority of this new partnership will be to market the group's fast growing hotel portfolio. In this capacity, Oliver Sedlinger will be responsible for enhancing HR Group’s market presence and strengthening the sales of its hotel portfolio within a market that is of great importance to the company. Together with his team, he will cooperate and work closely with local tour operators, travel agencies, and other partners. Oliver Sedlinger has more than 24 years of experience in China, a period which has seen him achieve success in a variety of executive management roles including the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) and successfully representing various international tourism suppliers from different fields. As the owner and CEO of a consulting and marketing agency that specializes in the Chinese outbound travel market, he and his team represent and support international clients in cultivating their business from one of the most important tourism source markets in the world.

HR Group Appoints James Lamb as New Chief Financial Officer
HR Group has appointed James Lamb as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). James is responsible for the HR Group’s key corporate functions, including Finance, IT, Strategic Human Resources, Legal & Compliance, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).
James brings extensive international experience in the financial and investment sector and has a proven track record in managing complex organizations and driving operational efficiency. His career began in M&A at renowned financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, and Bank of America.
Over the past ten years, he has held various management positions and worked closely with shareholders and Chairmen on the execution of transformation programs, profitability improvements, as well as investment and divestment processes. Most recently, he served as Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at FTI Group and previously as Global Head of Strategy & Corporate Finance at Mövenpick.
With his strategic foresight and deep financial expertise—combined with years of experience in the hospitality industry—James will play a key role in further advancing HR Group’s growth strategy and strengthening the company’s financial performance in a sustainable manner.

Jonathan Mills Appointed New Chief Operating Officer at HR Group
HR Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Mills as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Since January, Jonathan Mills is responsible for operations and the commercial functions of the business for the Berlin-based HR Group.
Jonathan Mills brings more than three decades of experience in the international hospitality industry working for global hotel brands and organizations such as Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, and Choice Hotels across EMEA & Asia Pacific regions.
His extensive expertise in hotel operations, combined with his strategic experience and vision in the commercial sector, will play a pivotal role in shaping HR Group’s next growth steps and further strengthening the group's position in a dynamic market environment.
