Subin Dharman, newly appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Taipei, leads with a vision to deliver legendary service and further elevate the hotel's distinction as the city's most refined luxury address.

 

Mandarin Oriental, Taipei is delighted to announce the appointment of Subin Dharman as General Manager, effective 1 May 2026. In his new role, Subin will embody transformational leadership and lead the team as it continues to elevate Mandarin Oriental's legacy of legendary service and innovative guest experiences in Taipei.

 

With more than two decades of senior leadership experience in international luxury hospitality across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, the United States, and Europe, Subin brings extensive operational expertise and a strongly people‑centric leadership approach to Mandarin Oriental, Taipei.  Prior to his appointment, Subin served as General Manager of W Bali, Seminyak from April 2024. He previously held the position of General Manager at The Ritz‑Carlton, Bali from 2022 to 2024, and at The Ritz‑Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place from 2019 to 2022. His career also includes senior leadership roles as Hotel Manager at The Ritz‑Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan, and as Executive Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage at The Ritz‑Carlton St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands and The Ritz‑Carlton Doha in Qatar. He also served as Director of Food and Beverage at Hotel Missoni in Kuwait City. Earlier in his career, Subin held leadership roles in food and beverage with Radisson Blu, Sheraton, and Le Méridien.

 

Subin is a seasoned hospitality leader whose leadership philosophy centres on people, brand culture, and purposeful excellence. He is deeply committed to empowering teams, cultivating a strong service‑led culture, and fostering collaboration across all functions to consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences while driving sustainable performance.

An Indian national, Subin holds a postgraduate degree from Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Outside of work, he enjoys wellness and fitness, exploring diverse culinary experiences, travel, continuous learning, and spending time outdoors.
