Hilton Strengthens its Hyderabad Presence

The signing marks Hilton’s third hotel in Hyderabad and the introduction of its award‑winning focused‑service brand to the city.

  • Hilton has signed Hilton Garden Inn Hyderabad Kompally, marking its third hotel in Hyderabad and its first Hilton Garden Inn in the city, expected to open in 2028.

  • The 96-room hotel will be located in Kompally within a mixed-use development, offering connectivity to business districts, proximity to office and retail spaces, and over 10,000 square feet of meeting space.

  • The project reflects Hilton’s strategy to expand in high-growth business hubs, with Hyderabad emerging as a leading IT, life sciences, and GCC destination, driving demand from both business and leisure travelers.

Hilton has announced the signing of Hilton Garden Inn Hyderabad Kompally, further strengthening its presence in Hyderabad, one of India’s fastest-growing commercial hubs. Once open, the property will become Hilton’s third hotel in the city, following the recently opened Hilton Hyderabad Genome Valley Resort & Spa and the upcoming Hilton Hyderabad Gachibowli, while also marking the company’s first Hilton Garden Inn in Hyderabad. Expected to open in 2028, the new property is being developed by Fairmount and Friends LLP, part of the Fairmount Group.

Hyderabad’s potential as a lodging destination is underpinned by the city’s emergence as a leading global business, IT, and life sciences destination, with the city accounting for nearly half of all new Global Capability Centre (GCC) establishments in India between 2025 and early 2026.

Clarence Tan, senior vice president, Development, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said, “As Hilton continues to expand across India, our focused service brands like Hilton Garden Inn play a critical role in scaling our portfolio across the country, where we’re on track to grow from 40 trading hotels today to over 400 in the years to come. This signing reflects our focus on building a balanced portfolio across key gateway and emerging business destinations in the market with a product that is designed to effectively meet the demands of both business and leisure travelers.”

Located within a mixed-use development, Hilton Garden Inn Hyderabad Kompally will benefit from proximity to Grade A office spaces and retail outlets, as well as connectivity to key business districts via the Outer Ring Road. The hotel will feature 96 guest rooms, an all-day dining restaurant with a bar, and over 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space, offering a reliable and comfortable stay experience for business and leisure travelers alike.

Hilton Garden Inn is Hilton’s upscale focused-service brand, known for delivering elevated essentials and thoughtful amenities that help guests stay productive, relaxed, and at their best. Offering high-quality accommodation, reliable food and beverage options, and service that is both efficient and attentive, Hilton Garden Inn is designed to meet the needs of today’s modern travelers seeking comfort and consistency in the places they want to be.

Zubin Saxena, senior vice president and regional head, South Asia, Hilton, said, “Hyderabad continues to evolve as one of India’s most important business and innovation hubs, and for Hilton, it remains a key strategic growth market in South Asia. This signing is particularly significant as it marks our first focused service hotel in the city, further strengthening our presence across Hyderabad’s growing commercial corridors. As the market continues to evolve, we see significant opportunity to serve a wider mix of business and leisure travelers through a more diversified portfolio.”

Shahazim Hameed, founder and CEO, Fairmount Builders, said, “Kompally is witnessing strong growth across commercial and residential developments, and we believe the market is ready for a globally recognized brand that can cater to the area’s rising hospitality demand, and Hilton Garden Inn is well-positioned to meet that need. Partnering with Hilton to bring Hilton Garden Inn to this market, combined with our market understanding, puts us in a strong position to serve the demand and contribute to the area’s evolving landscape.”

With a robust portfolio of 107 trading and pipeline hotels across South Asia, and on track to double its brand presence in the region, Hilton is charting a bold growth trajectory in the region with ambitions to exceed 400 trading hotels in the coming years while maintaining its asset-light model. ... Read more here - Hotel Management Global Outlook Link
