Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) has signed a management agreement with China Xiong’an Group Public Service Management Company to bring two of its brands – Cordis Hotels & Resorts and Ying’nFlo – to Xiong’an New Area, a state-level development in northern China built to support the next phase of growth in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region. Often dubbed China’s “City of the Future”, the destination will soon be home to a growing mix of administrative, commercial, and cultural institutions to be relocated from Beijing, alongside a broad network of civic amenities and public spaces. Xiong’an is also emerging as a centre for sporting and large-scale events, supported by the development of dedicated venues and community-focused facilities, underpinned by strong transport links with neighbouring cities.

The project represents a significant step in LHG’s China expansion strategy, reinforcing its presence in the country’s north. It additionally showcases the Group’s ability to combine its upscale, full-service Cordis brand with its upper-midscale, select-service Ying’nFlo brand within a single integrated complex designed to cater to a broad range of travel needs.

Scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2028, the complex will span a total gross floor area of 23,700 square metres. Cordis, Xiong’an will occupy approximately 16,000 square metres of the space and house 180 guestrooms. Like all Cordis properties, the hotel will embody the brand’s heartfelt service philosophy and embrace its new “Let Your Heart Rule” ethos aimed at inspiring travellers to pursue their passions, forge authentic connections and be guided by what truly moves them.

Ying’nFlo, Xiong’an will take up 7,700 square metres of the complex and house 120 guestrooms. The property will reflect the brand’s distinctive positioning as a sociable, lifestyle-led platform for a new generation of travellers, combining simple, design-led spaces with an emphasis on flexibility and ease of use. Communal areas will be designed to encourage interaction, offering a series of adaptable environments where guests can stay, work and socialise, while also serving as welcoming hubs for the surrounding community.

“We are delighted to partner with China Xiong’an Group Public Service Management Company to bring Cordis and Ying’nFlo to Xiong’an New Area,” Langham Hospitality Group CEO Bob van den Oord said. “As the city takes shape, we believe our dual-brand approach will be well-suited to support the broad range of travel needs that will accompany its growth.”

A representative of China Xiong’an Group Public Service Management Company added:

“These hotel brands will play important roles in shaping Xiong’an New Area’s hospitality landscape. The ‘Let Your Heart Rule’ philosophy of Cordis aligns closely with our vision of creating a complex centred on people and their passions, while Ying’nFlo’s flexible, community-oriented concept will help ensure that thinking resonates with younger travellers.... Read more here - Hotel Management Global Outlook Link

Small Tip To Landing Good Senior-Level Hotel Management Positions in 2026

Many of our members have remained with us since the inception of our job lead service seven years ago. They continue to renew their memberships, staying on board even after securing new positions, and for good reason.

Daily, our editors dispatch bulletins detailing new job vacancies, projects, and industry shifts, including hotel launches, expansions, strategies, and market trends.

We recognize that numerous long-standing, senior-level members utilize these bulletins as conversation starters, reaching out to hotel chains and potential employers, sometimes with unsolicited applications and messages. LHN endorses such proactive engagement. It's an excellent, informal method to gain early interest from prominent hotel groups and upcoming projects, indicating your interest and broadening your opportunities for intriguing interviews or discussions about potential roles, particularly at the upper echelons of management.

Our editors also keep these proactive efforts in mind, shaping many bulletins to cover "new openings, new projects, and new market developments."

While membership spots for 2026 are limited, it's not too late to renew.- Read more her
