Originally envisioned by renowned Swiss business magnate and hotel pioneer Franz Josef Bucher, Palace Hotel Luzern was built as a grand lakeside retreat that embodied the glamour and sophistication of the Belle Époque era with its striking architecture, refined interiors, and unrivalled location with views across Lake Lucerne.
This week, as Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern, this remarkable property continues to honour its rich heritage while redefining luxurious hospitality for a new generation of travellers.

Designed as an exclusive escape on the shores of Lake Lucerne, the experience includes a two-hour private boat cruise, Rolls-Royce airport transfers, a bespoke one-hour spa treatment by Biologique Recherche, and Michelin-starred dining, creating a seamless journey defined by sophistication and timeless riviera-inspired elegance.
Further enriching the anniversary celebrations, the hotel introduces a new premium experience aboard the historic MS Meggenhorn.
