Commenting on the full-year results, Shangri-La Group’s Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer, Hui Kuok, said, “Our 2025 performance reflects the resilience of our diversified portfolio and the progress we are making in sharpening our brand and asset strategy. While recovery remained uneven across markets, intra-Asia travel continued to underpin demand, allowing us to sustain a stable topline and earnings profile. Our teams remained focused on driving quality of revenue, managing costs with discipline, and delivering consistent experiences for our guests, guided by our vision to be the best-loved hospitality group.
In 2025, we took meaningful steps to position Shangri-La for the next phase of growth. The launch of Shangri-La Signatures, marked by the debut of The Silk Lakehouse, Shangri-La Hangzhou, reinforced our commitment to differentiated, experience-led luxury and extended our reach into the ultra-luxury segment. The opening of Shangri-La Hongqiao Airport and Traders Hongqiao Airport in Shanghai, our second dual-brand project, represented our first airport properties and introduced our refreshed Traders brand to better capture the upper midscale market in one of China’s most important commercial and transport hubs. This dual-brand concept enables us to serve a broader range of customers and enhance the overall utilization of our properties.
The positive response from guests and potential HMA partners to our refreshed designs has helped us secure new opportunities, including our newly signed dual-brand HMA in Wuxi and a growing pipeline in other regions. These signings further build on our asset-light growth strategy, leveraging our brand equity and operating expertise to expand our presence in a capital-efficient manner.”
Ms. Kuok added, “Financial discipline, including continuous enhancement of operating efficiency, remained at the core of our strategy. Through active treasury management and the use of diversified funding channels, we continued to optimize our debt profile and manage borrowing costs, maintaining our average funding cost below the prevailing Fed funds rate for the year. Geopolitical developments in the Middle East have recently driven increased volatility in energy prices and global financial markets, which may weigh on business sentiment and travel demand in the near term. In this environment, we remain focused on continuous enhancement of operating efficiency, preserving balance sheet resilience, managing interest, pacing our investments carefully, and staying selective and returns-focused in our capital expenditure, prioritizing projects that strengthen our brand equity and support long-term value creation.... Small Tip To Landing Good Senior-Level Hotel Management Positions in 2026
Many of our members have remained with us since the inception of our job lead service seven years ago. They continue to renew their memberships, staying on board even after securing new positions, and for good reason.
Daily, our editors dispatch bulletins detailing new job vacancies, projects, and industry shifts, including hotel launches, expansions, strategies, and market trends.
We recognize that numerous long-standing, senior-level members utilize these bulletins as conversation starters, reaching out to hotel chains and potential employers, sometimes with unsolicited applications and messages. LHN endorses such proactive engagement. It's an excellent, informal method to gain early interest from prominent hotel groups and upcoming projects, indicating your interest and broadening your opportunities for intriguing interviews or discussions about potential roles, particularly at the upper echelons of management.
Our editors also keep these proactive efforts in mind, shaping many bulletins to cover "new openings, new projects, and new market developments."
